Product Details

Purchase a tote bag featuring the painting "Mars Colony" by Don Dixon.   Our tote bags are made from soft, durable, poly-poplin fabric and include a 1" black strap for easy carrying on your shoulder.   All seams are double-stitched for added durability.   Each tote bag is machine-washable in cold water and is printed on both sides using the same image.

woahhhhh, a glimpse into the future! how did you go about creating this? What is the acrylic/digital technique you used? thanks

Don Dixon replied:

Hi Ron, the foreground landscape (with astronauts) and the background mountains come from two different acrylic paintings. I modeled the domed farms in 3D and composited it all with Photoshop. I was unhappy with the compositions of the traditional paintings but was pleased to be able to salvage some acceptable elements to incorporate in a better composition.
